Data protection

In general the data protection declaration of the AraGes main site is valid also for the Atlas of the European Arachnids. As an exception the following applies:

Stored occurence records may contain personal data. These are stored to ensure occurence records are reproducible and may remain verifiable and correctible in the future. The Atlas of the European Arachnids is also a data source for Red Lists of Endangered Species and comparable surveys and therefore serves environmental protection efforts and related legislation, as well as scientific research. When terminating an account and membership on the Atlas stored occurence records are not deleted. Only basic user data of the account are deleted so that, for example, no more e-mails are sent by the Atlas automatically.

Content from service providers outside the EU is embedded in these pages. These service providers may store access data when the content is loaded. These services are:
